The Daily Grind: Mainstream advertising
Massively —
It seems like every website I visit these days, from MMO-centric wikis to the LA or New York Times has adverts on it. This is no big surprise as it's the perfect way of making money on free content but what does surprise me is the number of adverts for MMOs like EVE and WoW. Coming across such adverts ...
Rumor: Ozzy Osbourne at BlizzCon?
WoW.com —
This is still rumor central here, but according to Zakk Wylde's Twitter account, we might be seeing a level of rock heads and tails above what Level 70 80 Elite Tauren Chieftain can offer at this year's BlizzCon. We might be getting Ozzy Freaking Osbourne. Wylde's Tweet made it sound like he was surprised to hear the news, as if he heard it through the grapevine himself. This isn't the first time we've heard Ozzy might be there -- Zakk Wylde, who is apparently on his way out of Ozzy's band, previously mentioned that he might be playing there, but Blabbermouth says Zakk is out and Gus is in. Now, before you go all nuts over the excitement of seeing the Prince of Darkness at BlizzCon (and we don't mean Arthas), keep in mind ...

Big Download Blog —

We are talking about heavy metal rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, of course, who made a terrificially funny commerical promoting World of Warcraft several months ago (as you can see from the video above this post). Our sister site WoW.com spotted the mention of "a special appearance by Ozzy Osbourne" in the schedule of DirectTV who is doing a pay-per-view event of Blizzard's ...
