It's strange enough for a pay-to-play game to have full-fledged microtransactions. Others do it ( Champions Online ), but World of Warcraft's Pet Store will probably make it "acceptable" for MMORPGs from now on. I understand that Blizzard is a business and businesses are designed to make money. I can even understand the p2p with microtransactions model up to a point . What I don't understand is charging $10 for a virtual vanity pet, saying half of it goes to a charity, and then saying it's "sold out." Peculiar. WoW's cute, non-combat Pandaren Monk is now sold out in Blizzard's US ...
