We have talked about making some of these changes and wanted to provide more details. You should be able to try these out yourselves on the PTR before they go live. Our reason for most of these changes should be obvious, but some common themes are: -- Making tanking still rely on cooldowns, but ...
English (NA) Forums -> Upcoming Hunter Changes
forums.worldofwarcraft.com — Hunters of all specs, and particularly Beastmaster, are doing too much damage in PvE. We tested this a lot internally in beta and knew hunters were high but we hoped other classes would be able to catch up in a way they have as yet been unable to do. ... English (NA) Forums -> Upcoming Mage changes
forums.worldofwarcraft.com — The buffs here are designed primarily to make Arcane more competitive with Fire / Frostfire builds in PvE. Because they could end up buffing Arcane in PvP, we are prepared to adjust the damage of say Arcane Barrage if needed, but we want to see these ... (more) English (NA) Forums -> Upcoming Mage changes

Upcoming Death Knight changes
Elitist Jerks — Ghostcrawler announced a ton of upcoming death knight changes in this post. Although most of these changes were mostly bug fixes or improvements, there are a few some might call 'nerfs', although you'd have to be cautious as to what label as such since they made a significant overhaul to DK tanking. The amounts Bone Shield and Icebound Fortitude ...

Death Knight changes for the PTR announced
WoW.com — Filed under: Patches, Analysis / Opinion, Death KnightDeath Knight changes for the next patch have been posted, following up the recent discussion on Rune Strike and tank balance. The devs seem to be making good on what they discussed, and overall things are looking like they're coming along alright, though I expect some number tweaking to happen over the course of the upcoming PTR. There are a whole load of new changes (22, to be exact) but a few of them really stand out. There's quite a bit of Blood love to try and make the spec more desirable at the endgame, one change being Heart Strike. While keeping its ...

Upcoming Death Knight Changes
WoW Vault - The Ultimate Resource — ... [image] Ghostcrawler has been busy updating us on more class changes. Have a look at what's in store for Death Knights! We have talked about making some of these changes and wanted to provide more details. You should be able to try these out yourselves on the PTR before they go live. Our reason for most of these changes should be obvious, but some common themes are: -- Making tanking still rely on cooldowns, but rely on them a little less. -- Make Blood a more attractive spec, and particularly for tanking. -- Chill out some of the defensive capabilities all DKs have in ...

Blood - Buffs Incoming! (sorta)
Zen Tanking — Posted by Ghostcrawler today, there's a number of DK changes coming in. While these are not-so-happy for Unholy DK's, it's happy days for Blood. 1) Rune Strike -- damage decreased from 200% to 150% but threat increased to 150% from 100%. Pfft. I'm not very happy about this one, but Rune Strike will still hit pretty hard in solo PVE, and will now generate more threat when tanking. 3) Anti-Magic Shell -- cooldown lowered to 45 sec from 60 sec. Excellent. One minute was a bit long, tbh, this is nice. 4) The healing of Blood Aura, Blood Presence and ...
