Changes coming to the City Siege
Werit —
When the fortresses were removed in WAR's 1.3.2 patch, the intention was to get campaigns moving again. It was successful but perhaps too successful. On some servers, city sieges are occurring too frequently, resulting in some players being locked out of their city. Mythic is aware of the problem and has outlined some of the planned fixes. ...
Commentary: Mythic keeps avoiding the solution to their problems
Incoming Pull —
Mythic may have had me at hello with their promise of epic city sieges, but the tier 4 reality is anything but love. In fact, it's one of the primary reasons for my departure in June. However, the developers now have some "short term" changes in store. But are they a sign of good things to come, or a painful reminder of a misguided dream? Since patch 1.3.2, reports across the realms have been flying in saying that capital cities are now under constant siege. Guild Hall access and functionality will no longer be tied to City rank. All privileges granted by the ...
City Siege Action
One Shard —
If you look at the War blogs and forum’s there is a lot of negativity around the changes to the removal of fortresses. A lot of servers are experiencing multiple city sieges a day. This was not really intended for the game so Mythic are introducing some more changes to try and alleviate the problems. It is a shame the removal of fortresses coincided with the performance changes as the performance fixes brought a lot of positive aspects to War, so much so I have actually been able to successfully Fraps a lot of the action in game. My play time is limited at the moment therefore I missed out on city sieges in the ...
Warhammer Online interim city siege fixes
Massively —
Mythic has been pulling out all stops lately in an effort to improve Warhammer Online. One of their latest changes was to remove fortresses from the RvR campaign equation because many players found them to be a laggy and boring hurdle to be overcome. Doing so, however, had a predictable result: Cities were sieged much more often. While ...
