The Recruit-A-Friend Program
Blessing of Kings —
You've probably seen the buzz on Blizzard's new Recruit-A-Friend system. If you recruit a friend, you get: An exclusive in-game zhevra mount. A free month of play-time. While the zhevra is interesting, these incentives are pretty standard for referring someone. The really thought-provoking part is that both accounts (veteran and new player) are linked, and there are some in-game benefits: Characters on both accounts can summon each other once per hour. While adventuring with your linked friend/family member, you will each gain ...
Recruit a Friend
NoobDing - The Trials and Tribulations of a WoW Noob —
There's an interesting Recruit a Friend deal going on over at blizzard. Apparantly if you manage to recruit a friend now (or create yourself a second account and multi-box I suppose) you get the benefits of some faster levelling. The ability to hand over some of your levels to your friend, a spiffy mount and some other things. Check out the details here: RAF Normally I am not one to report on these kind of deals but it is a rather good one and a nice zhevra mount is indeed rather hard to come by. Go check it out and if you have experience with it ...

Two Things, and They're Bad
4 Haelz —
... Two things right now I disagree with. Two things right now either aren't good enough or are just bad ideas. The first would be the cosmetic feral glyphs in WotLK, and the second would be the Recruit-A-Friend nonsense. ...

... . I also understand that there was some confusion regarding the costs I outlined previously, and as such, I have edited the post to more accurately/clearly (I hope) reflect what exactly you’re paying for if you’re trying to milk every single bonus out of the Refer-A-Friend promo. Additionally, if you have other RAF questions, please see the Blizzard site. ...
I Haz Zhevra Mount!
Spicytuna —
... That was when he brought up the idea of just buying another account, and using the Recruit-a-Friend promotion to get triple experience for him. I told him if he was willing to do that, then the least I could do was pay for his first two months (to get the mount). So he bought a new account, I gave him one of my unused time cards, and created a new character so he could level up with (and get the triple experience). ...

Is It Time to Renovate Old Outdoor Leveling Content?
Lume the Mad —
... Playing a priest through Dun Morogh and other early Eastern Kingdoms zones, I remembered just how poorly designed the classic leveling content really is. Slogging through the old world is excruciating. So much so that it drove me to delete my priest and sign up for the recruit-a-friend program. Since then, I’ve managed to level a warlock and a priest to 60, and I’m now working on a hunter and a rogue. ...

... While most would scoff at the Recruit a Friend package put forth by Blizzard as a way to just eek more money out of their consumers, I have to say it is an amazing offer. Even for just the solo player who will use both accounts for their own purposes, this package is just amazing!! And a hell of a lot of fun. ...
